ACTIVITY #5

FIGHTMENT In

MY OWN Fights

And in midst of

endless misery, suffering and pain.

because they too were smiling

and laughing like nothing else.

carrying of

loads of issues.

Drowned by feelings

of your own.

Everything is chaotic and

doesn't feel like an end.

Fear, in life,

is my opponent.

Giving up is always my choice,

but it will never be my decision.

how what I

aim for is happiness.

In life, I've learned that

if you're weak, you lose.

Just fight and

go beyond any wars.

Keep trying harder. That's what

I always remember about myself.

Losing

is unavoidable.

Maybe there are other things

happening in the process of everything.

Nothing can be obtained or

surpassed in the simplest way.

Only as human, I often get tired and tend

to forget what I've been fighting for and living for.

 pressures me to its

limits with pain and overthinking.

Questions in my mind piled

up in search of answers.

 reasons that pushed

my head to squeeze in.

 still doubted myself

in many ways often.

There are countless times

when I feel nervous.

underestimate myself, my

strength and my own skills.

Voiceless in all that

I'd like to scream.

Why am I

sort of like that?

I still ask

myself the question.

Xenas, I want

to be that.

Yet, I think

I'm just the opposite.

Memoir

When time
went by,

I can see and describe life as a beautiful one when I was a kid. My life is just easy, then. Even though we don't have enough money to simply buy what we want and see, we're satisfied. It is sufficient for us to have what our everyday needs are.Because of one thing, I didn't experience as a child having many toys, dolls, clothes and shoes, the money that parents received from work is just enough to provide us with our daily needs, but while I don't have those things, I'm happy and very happy, why do I need those with whom I have siblings and aunt to play, a father I see as a hero, a loving and caring mother.I have a full and happy family right by my side, in short. I haven't got much to wish for. They are more than adequate for me, and no treasure will ever replace them.

I spend children's days full of smiles, laughter and affection. Treasuring and hoping for every moment has no limit. I recalled climbing trees, sitting in the branches, singing my favorite song, and ending up crying because I didn't know how to get from there.I'd never forget the moment when we felt we didn't have a class, so my friends and I wanted to take a dip in the river near our school and we were punished then, because we were soaked and it was very hot outside, we were exposed to the sun to dry us.My happiness then seemed to have no limits and no containment. In everyone's eyes, I can see genuine happiness and laughter.

LITERARY TOOLS AND ANALYSIS

Ledesma Street was a short one and quiet. Their house was unassuming, with walls of a modest height and green gate. The gate opened to a long three-car garage where they'd play football and where parties can be held. Their mother sent most of them to piano lessons. San Juan seemed pretty much the whole city because even his relatives were there. Even if its small, it is extravagant to a little one. And for him it is the world.

ACTIVITY 3 AND 4

 Activity 3 and 4

1. Menacing

- Due to poverty there are some individuals who are not educated they tend to do this kind of job just to surpass hunger. To give their family a food to eat. They choose this kind of job not because they want or like it but because they don’t have a choice due to poverty.

2. Homeless

- There are certain people who just leave in the streets because they don’t have a house.

Some of them are just relying to those people who across on the street to ask for a money so they can buy foods. Poverty is really a serious problem to our country.

3. Consciousness

- Both state leadership and religious beliefs hang on to certainty. In life, everyone has a different perception, as well as interpretations. Religious values are closely tied to political problems, although there are certain cases in which political legislation and religious beliefs are not consistent each other at the same period.

4. Opportunity

- Job openings are a great opportunity to those person who are jobless for a long time, less fortunate and also it would lessen a individuals who are jobless. Slowly the poverty we’re facing in this time would be  a lessen.

5. Less fortunate

As I see the picture there are so many children who are starving due to lack of support from their parents, jobless parents, uneducated parents etc.

6. Peace

- It very understandable that this picture implies their concern about stopping the war, no to martial law and etc. They are fighting for peace nor a war.

7. Unsafe

- Safety is a must but in this picture its an opposite one.

You can really see that its overcrowded. This not a safety especially to the new born babies because they are not already have a strong immune system because they are just a baby.

8. Overflow

- We already have a problem in transport & flow. There has been a boom in the growing number of automobiles, but the road network has barely expanded. They can first learn how to read them before drivers can heed traffic signals. Where to cross the street or get on & off public transport, in particular.

9. Vanquish

- Bullying happens when an individual or group threatens to injure someone who is smaller or more vulnerable repeatedly. Bad behavior aimed at you hurts no matter what shape it takes. The consequences can last a long time and, in many ways, affect a human. I assume that individuals have an inner need to intimidate people. The internet is bad because you can say & do something and don't need to control yourself, and there is no cap.

10. Reminiscence

- A tradition where, in remembrance of their loved ones, several people assemble in the cemetery. For those people now living about the past lives of their ancestors or influential ones, a daily and annual reminder. Saturday of Souls is a similar practice most found in Eastern Christianity, although not exclusively celebrated in Western Christianity. Practitioners of the rituals of

the Day of All Souls also recall dead loved ones on the day in different ways.

11. Tragic

- Floods cause enormous damage, which is one of the most destructive natural disasters. In most places where there is heavy flooding and inadequate drainage infrastructure, residents lose their homes in floods.

12. Informal settlers

About 4.5 million people are homeless or living in informal settlements in the Philippines, with its population of about 106 million, according to the statistics office. About 3 million of them are in Metro Manila, possibly the most in any urban area in the world, charities estimate.

Ans:

As I’ve read the poem, in life we all have many thoughts and doubts that we can’t express but we van express it in other way. In love, just like the poem that doesn’t sing same as the feeling.

What symbol can you find in the poem, identify and explain?

Ans:

For me SING, it symbolizes as the voices that cannot be heard and thoughts that you can’t tell but be able to recognize and understand like the poem that can’t sing but there are voices that cant be heard even if you would voice it out.

He was unnamed because he lacks his own identity. Towards the end, he said the see eyes of the biggest, which was still alive, seemed to flare at me--- and then they overstep out the eyes of the hag. He, himself, got confused whether it was the witchs advocate or he was just affected by the stories nearly him. The inhabitants were frightened by their unusual presence, lonely life, and occasional visits to the barrios. Whenever strange things happen, she has always been blamed.
Minggay was therefore also exposed to various attempts at killing in order to stop the curse she supposedly placed on them. Our suspicions have never been confirmed, however. One day, a boy who visits his uncle in Libas from time to time met an old woman fishing in the creek. She was kind enough to take him to a place where he could get more shrimps. What is the relation between the boy and Minggay?
For me, there was no relationship involve between the two because they just met at the creek while catching some shrimp.

Explain the difference of the short story to the other forms of literature like poetry, drama, essay, etc.
- Short stories usually focus on a single event or crisis, where novels have much more time to explore multiple events with a complex plot. A single event usually occurs in a short time frame, such as a day, although it might be fast tracked across a longer period of time.Just like drama.
